A right-handed top order batter and a handy wicket-keeper, South African born star Lizelle Lee has made her mark on Australian cricket ever since moving in 2022.

Lizelle Lee is a South African power-hitting batter from Ermelo, South Africa, who became one of the most destructive opening batters in women’s cricket. After making her international debut in 2013, she built a reputation for fearless stroke play and explosive innings, representing South Africa across all formats. Lee later became a major figure in Australian cricket, moving to play in the Women’s Big Bash League, where she starred for the Melbourne Stars, Melbourne Renegades and Hobart Hurricanes, becoming one of the competition’s most exciting overseas players. Known for her ability to clear the boundary and dominate bowling attacks, Lee has continued to excel in global T20 competitions and remains remembered as one of the most powerful hitters in the women’s game.

Career Highlight: In 2021, Lizelle was named the ICC Women's ODI Cricketer of the Year as well as being voted as the Wisden Leading Woman Cricketer in the World award for her success in the 2021 calendar year. The year was capped by her career best of 132 not out off of 131 balls against a DLS win over India.
