About Maddie Penna

A dynamic Australian all-rounder — right-hand batter and right-arm leg-spinner — Maddie Penna is making her mark with both bat and ball.

Debuting in the WNCL for the ACT Meteors in September 2019, and shortly after, thanks to a last-minute call-up, her WBBL debut for the Melbourne Stars resulted in a stunning 4/20 in just her second WBBL match. Joining the Adelaide Strikers in 2020–21, she was part of the back-to-back WBBL title wins in 2022-23 and 2023-24. Penna has consistently performed across each season, and notched up her first ever WBBL century in 2025.

Career Highlight: In the 2025-2026 campaign of the T20 Spring Challenge, Maddie was named the joint Player of the Tournament alongside Maitlan Brown. She blasted 103 not out off of 66 balls and a 55 off 58 balls on her way to her honours.
